Photos: Camping Edition...
Our electricity was restored last night causing Allison and I to run around the house turning every light, and appliance on just to see what it felt like. All in all, it really wasn't too bad. We had fun "camping" at home for a couple days. Pictures will be forthcoming in another post.
And now for my next trick:
Here are the official pictures from my camping trip to Red River Gorge this past weekend. We had a blast and everyone stayed alive, which is always a bonus.
Throwing down some Munchkin. Don't judge...Munchkin is amazing.
It's a long way down.
Everyone loves to leave their mark.
Andy.
Adam.
Andrew.
It was a lot further down than it looks.
We saw quite a few "Velvet Ants" on the trip. Don't get stung by one of these. I don't like bugs that are also know as "Cow Killers."
Euchre was a must.
Goonies never say die.
Chris.
Steve likes Dinkel Acker.
Making up some camp chili.

Wow! Amazing pictures of a truly beautiful place! What a great experience it must have been, and what a great way to spend time with friends.
It was a great time, when are we going back?
My pics are up also, http://stevenixon.net/
Looks like it was fun - hope y'all were able to come back refreshed and recharged!
Such cool pictures! Looks like a successful trip!
Again-I'm completely impressed with the pictures. What camera do you shoot with? They're just beautiful!
Great pics!
I like the one of you by the fence. Nice mood in that one...Who took it?
I also need to specs of your camera. I must get one. :)
Awesome!!!!
Looks like a wonderful time. I miss camping so much!
Thanks for the props!
I'm shooting with a Nikon D60 camera body with a Nikon 10.5mm f/2.8 lens, a Sigma 30mm f/1.4 lens, or an 18-55 zoom lens that I hardly ever use.
Ryan, what an amazing trip and those pix are awesome.
I'm also checking out Steve's link for pix. I'm quite an amateur photographer. I love pictures.
You look like such a hottie in the picture of you alone....I love it
Oh Allison, save it...
Well, I guess he gives you enough blog-love. It's okay that you offer some up, I guess. Sheesh.
Ya'll are so cute. Now I need to find some campin' girls to go campin' with me!
I'm NOT a camper, but these pictures ALMOST made me want to go brave the outdoors. Well, until I saw that cow-killer thingy. EW! Great pictures.
Are alot of these taken with a fisheye lense?? I love the effect!

As everyone before me has said, awesome shots!
Thank you SO SO SO much for identifying the velvet ant! We had one walk across our driveway a week or so ago and had absolutley NO clue what it was.
You rock!
Wow, looks like a great place and it also looks like you guys had a great time! Only one question though....Where are you mountain bikes?????? People actually hang out in the woods without bikes? I guess this is a sure sign that my reality has been permanantly twisted.
Great pics! I use a Nikon D80. I'm wondering what lens you are using for the "fisheye" pics.
